Hello Members of the 2015/2016 Curling Season:
A Newsletter will be coming your way shortly, but we wanted to highlight some of the activities that will start to take place as early as next week – Monday, September 21. Good things have been happening around the club this summer. Further on those projects in the Newsletter.
START DATES for all the leagues are posted on the website www.curl.ca. If you have questions about your start date please let me know. We have great news in that a number of leagues are full and over full this year. Thank you to those members who observed the early registration date this year of August 15. It helped our very busy volunteer League Coordinators to get numbers and teams in place in record time.
WEBSITE will be going through a transition shortly, watch for the changes there.
PRACTICE ICE schedule is posted on website. Very limited time and space this year. Call or email the office to book your time.
FREE LEARN TO CURL schedule is also on the website. If you are a new curler or know someone interested in the trying the sport, get signed up now for September 21, 22 or 24. There is also a Sunday Morning Pick Up League that offers a LTC component for $10 per session.
WOMEN CURLERS SOCIAL EVENING on Wednesday, September 23 starting at 7 pm. A reminder to the majority of female members (no matter your league) who received an evite to this Social Evening. If you have not responded, please do so. We need to know numbers for food. If you registered later or didn’t receive the evite through email, this is your invitation. An evening to welcome new curlers and greet old friends.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION – For those who have not been to the north end of the City, we are under construction. The corner of Woodlawn and Woolwich has traffic restrictions. Please go to http://guelph.ca/2015/09/construction-notice-sewer-installation-woodlawn-road-woolwich-streethighway-6-north-starts-september-8/ for the latest news.
See everyone really soon.
